He/him

Bloggers, writers, indie shop owners, event organizers 🤷 There are plenty of reasons to want to schedule posts without wanting to play into “engagement metrics”.
Ah. So they’re not just self-promoing, they’re self-promoing some corporate slop. Nice.
I asked this last time you posted here, but apparently you’re more interested in self-promotion than actually being part of a community:
How does “AI post scheduling” differ from just “post scheduling”? Why is this something that needs AI at all?
I’m using Syncthing. It doesn’t feel like overkill, especially since I’m also using it for music and photos. I basically just set it up and forget about it.
Uh, are we not currently in a thread specifically talking about an October 7th game or…?
From the linked article:
Fursan al-Aqsa was released in 2022
Calling it “an October 7th game” is a neat little piece of propaganda though. Good job falling for it.
(Edit) Yeah, actually after taking a look at your profile, you’re not the kind of person I want taking up my mental energy.
Do you think Palestine sprung into existence on October 7? Why does every discussion of Israel being genocidal colonizers come down to an incident that happened decades after their oppression of Palestine began?
It has been removed in the EU on behalf of french anti-terrorist authorities. So this is an actual terrorism-concern and not just censorship.
Any support for Palestine is being called “terrorist” these days, so I’d rather make the judgment call for myself.
hey, a fellow linux user. Long-time or recent?
Been using Linux for 20 years.
I don’t even like this genre of game but I bought it (after downloading the demo to make sure it would run under Proton) because fuck this censorship.
(Edit) Just saw a post on Bsky claiming that “if you shoot soldiers who are surrendering, you lose”. Much evil, very terrorism.
It really looks that way. Very obnoxious.
I won’t be there, so I don’t care as long as it’s not something bad for the environment.
I’ve seen postimg.cc.
How does “AI post scheduling” differ from just… post scheduling?
What do you mean by “real world politics”? Don’t be shy, tell us.
Of course it is. People at large don’t care if their social media goes to shit. They’re going to keep using it and complaining about it even as it gets worse and worse.
But transgenders and pronouns were never ever a thing in the Dragon Age franchise, and now they suddenly feature these so prominently.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krem_(Dragon_Age)
Every Dragon Age game has had pronouns because that’s how fucking language works. Your brain has just been poisoned by right-wing outrage over “pronouns”.
Also, “transgenders” isn’t a word. “Transgender” is an adjective, not a noun, not that I expect that to mean anything to someone who freaks out about “pronouns”.
The other factor was Wuk Lamat. She’s a very complex character, and she even has a bit of a complex about herself. Unfortunately, we didn’t delve very far into the background of why she had those feelings, so it appeared as if she left a negative impression. We accept that feedback. I feel a little sorry that we weren’t able to properly depict her.
This is so absurd because Wuk Lamat is on-screen more than any other character except maybe the Warrior of Light. “Weren’t able to properly depict her”… Maybe if they’d done anything other than having her repeat how much she loves peace and happiness every ten minutes? What happened to the fear she showed when fighting that giant colibri in 6.55? Why is she suddenly sea-sick all the time when that wasn’t a thing when she got off the boat in Sharlayan?
One additional thing, there were comments about how we are too accepting of diversity — some people seem to be disapproving of that. I’m afraid one of our staff members received very negative comments and it almost felt like a personal attack, which breaks my heart, because she worked really hard and these criticisms were not constructive at all. [Editor’s note: Yoshida is referring to the transphobic verbal abuse and death threats that Wuk Lamat’s voice actress, who is a trans woman, has reportedly received from some FFXIV users.] It doesn’t do anything except make the staff lose motivation, and in the end that could potentially damage the quality of our game and take away from what makes this game so interesting. So if there are any sort of criticisms, bring it to me, because I’m the one approving this material. I wanted to reiterate that, please refrain from personal attacks against our staff.
I’m glad to hear they’re not taking the anti-wOkE brigade seriously. But fuck everyone who decided to gang up on a voice actor, even if they don’t like the character. (This started before Dawntrail ever launched so there’s no way any of it had anything to do with Wuk Lamat’s portrayal in 7.0, and even if it did, that doesn’t excuse the transphobic BS Sena Bryer has been getting.)
This sounds like a plausible thing that actually happened.
Kind of seems like a contradiction
They don’t care. There’s no point in calling conservatives out on hypocrisy. Only a very small number of them will give a shit, and those will be the ones who were already having doubts.
That’s absolutely ableist.
