I thought so too. Used a MacBook Pro for half a year. Never again.
As soon as you want to do more than opening preinstalled apps / installing apps from their store, it gets overly complicated. Customisability also is extremely limited.

I recently was in the same situation, so I saved everything to my cloud and just installed the Linux distro of my choice (opensuse tumbleweed), completely replacing windows, knowing I could reinstall windows later if really needed. Turned out I didn’t need it and am glad I don’t have to bother with deleting it now.
I’m extremely impressed with how far Linux has come
I wouldn’t even want to be in an Austrian luxury prison. There’s a reason why people have went as far as dying while fighting for their freedom, it’s one of our most precious possessions.
Had me in the first half
We have clean water in Austria, directly from the mountains without adding anything (just cleaning it with UV light to kill potential bacteria in most regions, nothing else. Not even that in some regions).
Some of the best and cleanest water worldwide, so whenever I go to another country I’m disappointed by their water quality.
Google’s magic eraser (using generative AI to replace things you circle in photos) is awesome, never expected it to work so well but it just does.
Clean and well-tasting tap water. It sucks when I’m going to another country and they have chlorinated tap water

I meant it’s shrinking without immigration, yes. As more and more countries are developed, less and less countries have population growth, so there’s also no population growth through immigration anymore (when one time the people from the few countries that still have population growth are distributed among so many countries without population growth).
It is solving itself if we keep working on helping countries to become developed.
Population is shrinking in developed countries, looks like that issue will erase itself as more and more countries are developed.
As someone without children:
They should, yes. Children are extremely important for our future so especially people who earn well and can provide their children with a good life (likely leading to a successful carrier later on) should be encouraged to have them.
Additionally this kind of culture is needed if we want women to have same chances as men (since childcare still is majorly done by women, and likely always will be (progressive families split it evenly, conservative families don’t or at least don’t split it evenly, for every family where the father does more there’s at least one where the mother does more))
