Number 1 would have to be:
Some others I didn’t see in this thread are:
I’m still crying because Martyr broke up ages ago, how can they do this to me now!
The way I feel about Dawntrail is somewhat similar to how I feel about Stormblood - a great story from 100 feet up, good themes, etc. but very clumsy execution. Wuk Lamat is a fine character, but ends up oppressively tied to you the entire MSQ, minus one obvious bit. If they’d have split things, eg. Wuk for the first half, Koana for the second, I think it would have obliviated a significant fraction of the complaints.
Additionally, the voice work is all over the place. I have no idea how many rewrites were involved or what the voice direction situation was like, but this is far and away the expansion with the most inconsistent line read quality and quantity (in English).
That all said, the encounter team fuckin’ cooked, holy crap. The dungeons & trials are all great and the first extreme is damn inspired. I love all aspects of The Arcadeon and Jueno, and an very excited to set where things go with them.
I’d argue lexicographically it would be 0000 and 0001 for the first two sets of 4 digits. If you’re looking for combinations w/o replacement, it would be 0123 and 0124.
I’ve definitely caught myself writing cumTotal += value;
in my code before.
I’m exceedingly loving the combat design in Dawntrail, so I guess they took some good lessons from EW. That said, I do think CoD P2 is a bit too difficult for what they were aiming for. Two phases of P1 difficulty (mostly personal responsibility & quick reactions) or even very slightly harder, would be absolutely perfect for PF.
I’m pretty excited to see the Hildi plot for these patches to play out. There’s a lot of potential gold in this setup!
Did that dragoon Stardiver Titan? Also, that last clip really brings back the PTSD of ARR; additionally, I wonder how the voices are to be handled.
I imagine that running a butt ton of expert roulettes will yield a lot of excess items that you can turn in (as well as tomes). Depending upon your job, you could probably blitz through most SB & SHB dungeons pretty quickly too for a good rate of return.

Oh man, going to be on a work trip when this releases. Ahh well, can’t get all of the raids on day one I guess.
Exactly same. Gf & I got into it a few weeks ago and just caught up to current. We’re champing at the bit to see what happens next.
Jade #1!
It is - without the quiet zone, it makes detecting the locator pattern really difficult, especially in one’s looking for the 1:1:3:1:1 ratio.
Aye. Granted, I’m on Dynamis so my experience is going to be wildly different from, eg. Aether, but I’ve only had one occasion of long queues, and that was when Aether died. And even then, it was steady progress, unlike the Login Roulette of Endwalker.
I’ve been playing Heart of the Machine, and really enjoying it. It’s a fascinating 4x ish in a future city, in a bit of an inversion of AI Wars (same developer). Before playing, I was merely intrigued, but now I’m excitedly awaiting where it goes. It was, however, initially difficult to figure out what to do. Perhaps more UX is going to be useful here.
You get a tactical nuke, you get one, you get one… tactical nukes for all!
video-sizes
I’m confused as to your meaning here. Current codecs are miles ahead of what we had in the past. Unless you mean typical resolution (eg. 4k, 8k, etc).
I’ve been really enjoying it, even in its limited state. Jetpacks are a total game changer, and I love that the fuel lasts a long time. There’s still a few obvious QoL additions needed, especially with stuff like the cargo ships (gotta type the name in?!), but otherwise it’s got a really strong foundation. Also, elevators are amazing; just realized last night that one cam connect wire to the cab. Really excited to see how the game develops in the future (traaaaaains).
Man, I love this guy’s videos. He’s got the most pleasantly chill voice (think Australian Bob Ross) and shows a great mastery of the things he makes. Highly recommended channel.
