No one who has any political awareness would give the liberals credit for that. That was the NDP’s contribution.
A lot of voters aren’t aware. If it’s not being blasted on repeat by a news channel, then at least 50% of the electorate has no idea what’s happening. We’re also so inundated with American politics that Canadian news gets drowned out as well.
Yeah, I was 95% sure it was an NDP mandate, but I also have an awful memory so I was open to being corrected.
We may not have Fox News, but we have lots of right news media (Post Media, The Globe and Mail, Stephen Crowder). The Conservatives have also been running ads for over a year attacking Trudeau, something that is blatantly against Canadian election laws, but clearly they found some sort of loophole, and these are more than likely being funded by conservative groups from down south or overseas.
For any Canadians that don’t know, this is what Harper (our former conservative PM) is up to now.
Bro I need gaslighting lessons from PP; how is he losing his riding, losing an election he has polled 20+ points in the lead in for almost two years, and yet gives a speech where he not only says he will stay on as leader, but makes it seem like losing the election was his desired outcome??
Really sad about Jagmeet and the NDP wipeout tbh. I know why it happened, but if I’m not mistaken the universal pharma and dentalcare we have now were initiatives pushed by the NDP that the Liberals get credit for because they were the ones holding the PM seat.
According to their Wikipedia, Techdirt only accepted money from Charles Koch’s foundation for a lawsuit (amongst other donors), and are owned by Floor64.
Floor 64’s website only has 2 people listed in their management team, but I couldn’t dig up if either are linked to the Koch’s (I was pretty cursory about it though).
The article was worth a read for this quote alone:
VGHF library director Phil Salvador puts it even more simply: “Generative AI video is a great way to preserve video games, in the sense that mirages are a great source of water.”
Sure, but “fine” is not really what I want for a Zelda movie, personally. And judging by the apprehension of a lot of the Zelda fanbase, they seem to have similar sentiments.
Also I’m not really sure why my other comment is getting downvoted, it was just what I observed in my circle of family/friends/coworkers. Apologies to any long time Mario fans I offended.
This is so weird, because they had already restored/updated it for HD when it was on HBO Max, and it was fine. No AI gibberish in the backgrounds. Did Netflix not have the rights to that version or something?
I think it was well received with children? Most adults I know who saw it basically shrugged, said it was fine, and then eagerly awaited Super Mario Bros Wonder instead.
The hours I spent on that FUCKING DICE GAME
Kingdom Come Deliverance wasn’t even on my radar and now I’m obsessed. The NPCs are so fucking funny
I see, thanks for the explanation!
Related question: are Kindle Unlimited books digital only? Can you not buy physical copies of it?
Ngl I still buy physical books, and I use my ereader to check out ebooks from the library and/or sail the high seas, so I have no idea what’s going on in the ebook ecosystems.
As long as Kobo supports epub, I think it’s fine. They still support my H20 Aura from 2015, I’m not complaining.
Thank you, I was so confused as to what the other comments were talking about. I have js turned off by default.
Wow, his hands really are small…
“If you’re not high enough in the British class order to have institutional protections against raping children, then maybe you don’t deserve rights?” -British Lawmakers, probably
No wonder Michelle Obama doesn’t show up to Presidential events anymore if she doesn’t have to.
Still can’t believe the former CEO of Buzzfeed is the brother of Gina from Brooklyn 99…
The upper echelons of culture really is a tight circle…
I genuinely don’t know what to do while reading news about Palestine. Donations don’t help if the food isn’t getting through the blockade, the biggest powers of the Western world seem to be in support of or turning a blind eye, and I as a citizen halfway across the world feel absolutely helpless as I watch children willfully being bombed and starved to death.
