Kamiya going back to Capcom is huge news
Kamiya going back to Capcom is huge news
It’s really more like a poker themed maths game. Would probably be good for a kid to pick it up. (They may or may not turn into a poker pro later in life too!)
It’s a shame this gets 18+ while the MTX fuelled FIFA games all get 3+ ratings.
Uh I guess we’d need to extend it to Linux + FOSS in general.
Power users: I think we should steal whatever the latest IKEA marketing team have come up with because the appeal is kinda the same as IKEA furniture where you feel more ownership over something having built it from the flat packed box your self.
Average users: does a degoogled chromeOS exist? You just need a video of someone playing with a tablet like interface, then choosing to postpone an update with no dark pattern om the textbox prompt.
One line slogan: Did you ever wish the people who made your software were more passionate about the product than their next promotion?
I love Obsidian writing and quest design but the gameplay for this one looks bad from the trailers. Like a UE5 asset flip.
I hope I’m wrong. Will play for sure if it’s on gamepass.
gnome is broken but there are better DEs imo
The engine itself is clearly optimised to build fortnite and everything else needs to bend it to suit any other style of game.
I enjoy how old your picks are for the more modern games too! HoMM3 is a stone cold classic.
Wishing death upon someone because they are a libertarian (or hold whatever other opinion you disagree with) is trashy
He’s got such a hate boner for Kier Starmer that I’m kind of intrigued. Starmer is the most boring, beaurocratic politician you can find. I can’t understand what’s triggered this latest Musk mania.
I’m a millenial but one of my most conservative friends has parents who are total left wing hippies. Sometimes kids end up rebelling or defining themselves in opposition to certain aspects of their family members.
I find the authors concerns about security to be at odds with their enthusiasm for flatpak and systemd. Personally I don’t think containerised applications get as much attention from package maintainers or security audits. Systemd is also expanding into every area of the OS including recently offering a sudo alternative which is basically creating one massive attack surface.
Love my DS! Took a picture of some of my favourites for a mastodon thread earlier but will share here -
I’m not convinced by your approach but I respect that you’ve put a lot of thought into it. I guess my main issue is that it seems some parents don’t think about it at all.
People need to understand that the internet is a public space. Family PCs should be in a shared space like the living room and kids need to have parental controls enabled on their smart phone. Beyond that, yeah people need to get thicker skins when it comes to social media (including steam in this).
You put more effort into this post than M$ did to their product
They get all the patches and minor upgrades in a timely fashion, similar to other distros. The major version updates do not come as readily though.
PS3 is probably the last gen to support a lot of local coop games
Have got Debian on an old thinkpad too because it is too under resourced to compile everything. I think Debian is amazing for a solid, reliable distro if you have weak hardware.
I use Gentoo and I love it. The installation process is a bit more complex than Arch but it doesn’t have to be if you choose the precompiled kernel.
The package management is extremely flexible and the community are great. I have a morning routine where I log onto my gentoo desktop before work and update everything; would compare it to raking one of those miniature buddhist sand gardens. Very theraputic!
They probably have some checklist which has vague definitions of “glamourising” gambling. I reckon this game unwittingly strays into the red tape in its presentation along with the poker theme (like I’ve said elsewhere it’s more a maths game than a poker game). The music and lights despite being atmospheric and ambient probably have some similarities to fruit machine like environments in the sense the music is repetitive and there is flashing visual feedback.
Edit: Should say it’s still B.S. to rate it 18. Just that I can imagine ratings boards can’t apply independent thought/logic.
