No thanks, I’m beyond tired of LLM based “AIs”

Yesterday. My kids and I like to imitate awkward game/MMO character movements so there’s a lot of random jumping.
Agree, but also think it might kind of be a part of what makes it great. Didn’t go so long to get ruined. Gave us just enough to love it and imagine what could have been. Everyone gets to have their own fantasies of where it might have gone next.
whelk@lemm.eeto Linux@lemmy.ml•Can we please, PLEASE for gods sake just all agree that arch is not and will never be a good beginner distro no matter how many times you fork it?2·2 months agoMan, I’m just glad to finally see someone else saying they have issues with Fedora. Everyone seems to think it’s amazing and stable but it never lasts more than a few months for me. I don’t do any tinkering or hacking or anything, just web browsing, Python coding, some light gaming with Steam. Arch and Debian both hold up great for me doing the same stuff.

whelk@lemm.eeto Science Fiction@lemmy.world•What SF books did you enjoy the most in 2024?2·4 months agoThe audiobook narrator for these is fantastic, too. I’ve listened to them multiple times. I love the exploration of the personality drift and eventual entire society of replicants. Judging by the typical comments I see, I’m in the minority for loving the parts with Archimedes as much as the rest. I get why some people want to get back to the more sci fi stuff though.
whelk@lemm.eeto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•What are your favorite pre-2000 computer games?English3·4 months agoI wasted hours playing with After Dark as a kid. I recreated the Starry Skyline one with Python a few years back. So much nostalgia from just watching these little screensaver modules do their thing.
Not sure why you got downvoted, assuming you were just pointing out how interesting it is that people in tech tend to be more critical of tech and aware of the issues it can have or cause
Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron. I miss loving Ubuntu
