WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his office said Sunday.

Biden was seen by doctors last week after urinary symptoms and a prostate nodule were found. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday, with the cancer cells having spread to the bone.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” his office said. “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Absolutely. Reminds me of all the rosy things people said about Nancy Reagan at the end, and how we had to remind people that she helped kill an entire generation of young men because she thought it was what Jesus wanted.

I honestly don’t know what’s worse. Metastatic prostate cancer at that age or getting to the point you might need a resection because you can’t piss.

That’s what he gets for not doing more to stop Trump (like, you know, actually helping the American people so that they’d want to vote Democrat).

    Goodbye, and good riddance.

Now seems like a good time to remember that he wasn’t called Genocide Joe for nothing. I truly hope that he’s feeling maybe half the fear that US bombs inspire in people worldwide right now.

But, even if you put aside what he did with regards to enabling Gaza entirely, he’s still an absolute piece of shit for being the focal element of our sleepwalk into fascism. His hubris is legit at King Lear levels.

There was an episode of Pod Save America where they revealed that Biden’s own advisors had determined that if he ran for reelection, Trump would win with 400 electoral votes. Biden knew about this and he ran anyway.

If I had to guess it’s mainly .world accounts (and maybe feddit given their strongly pro-genocide stance). They think because Trump is scary and doing more bad things at home than Biden that Biden – the man who holds a large amount of responsibility for him being elected again (by stubbornly running again when he wasn’t fit then dropping out at the last moment) somehow deserves some respect for some reason. That and/or for them genocide just isn’t a line that once crossed makes someone bad. Little hitlerites the lot of them.

        It honestly blows my mind.

It’s like these people haven’t had to look at their own bills for the last four years, much less read a news headline about how Biden bloodied his hands on Palestinian kids.

I take it you voted for Trump then.

Trump’s social media video garners pushback from Arabs and Muslims in U.S. and Gaza -The post comes weeks after Trump suggested the U.S. should take over the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians.

The post comes weeks after Trump suggested the U.S. should take over the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians.

The apparently AI-generated video includes depictions of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sunbathing in Gaza, and imagines scenes of destruction in Gaza transformed into a glitzy Riviera-style resort called “TRUMP GAZA.”

      https://www.npr.org/2025/02/26/nx-s1-5309695/trump-gaza-video

Trump’s Gaza ‘Riviera’ plan is the most outlandish idea in the history of US Middle East peacemaking

The president repeatedly doubled down on his suggestion that nearly 2 million Palestinians should be relocated from battle-leveled Gaza to new homes elsewhere so that the US could send troops to the Strip, take ownership and build the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

“You build really good quality housing, like a beautiful town, like some place where they can live and not die, because Gaza is a guarantee that they’re going to end up dying,” Trump told reporters.

It’s the only tactic “centrist” voters know. When someone criticizes their team, that person must be in support of the “other” team (because there’s only two, you know).

Anyone who claims otherwise is lying, so they’ll just have to keep saying that you voted for Trump even when you tell them that you voted progressive every primary and Democratic Party every general. They’re about two neurons firing away from accidentally saying “a vote for Biden is a vote for Trump” and then tripling down on it.

Because to have that much hate for someone not in power while the one in power is so much worse, seems sus. I can’t get any one of you guys to say trump is bad in any way. The worst you’ll say is you didn’t vote for trump. It’s a thing.

Dude, my eighty year-old parents have borrowed my car for 13 months so they can drive for DoorDash, and if they don’t, this country will render them homeless in an instant.

Of course I hate Joe Biden. I hate Trump too, and if Trump gets a cancer diagnosis soon, you’ll see this same exact post.

you fail to measure the hate for the one in power, you cannot by simply assuming based on measurement for another.

i hate them both. i hope both somehow rot in prison.

it’s very shortsighted of you to assume “hate A means love B” - grow past that and realize two things can be true at once.

one can, for instance, be anarchist and hate them all equally. ;)

This year? We don’t have that kind of time. Lets start with something manageable like what he’s done wrong in the last month or two. That should only be a couple dozen things.

Wait, are we counting things that the Incompetent sycophants he’s put in charge of everything do as things Trump has done wrong as well? If so might need to cut that timeline down a bit more.

Trump is a mean, racist, genocide enabling, fascist worshipping, idiot, conman. The fact he’s still so successful at separating other idiots from their money says a lot more about how stacked in favor of the wealthy our society has become than it does about Trump. We have put the least qualified individual in every respect in charge of everything and it’s all collapsing in record time. Socially, economically, politically, and legally, the US is regressing. You would be hard pressed to find someone worse than Trump to fill the office of the president.

Joe Biden on the other hand still supported genocide, and was a very mediocre president, but worst of all even knowing running for a second term would almost certainly result in Trump winning he did it anyway. Biden was a better president than Trump. Biden would be a better president now. That’s far from the same thing as Biden being a good president. The DNC needs to have their entire upper echelon permanently removed from power. They’re corrupt through and through. Just because Republicans are worse by every metric doesn’t give Democrats a pass. Democrats should never hold office again. Republicans should never be allowed outside a jail cell again. One does not excuse the other. Since FPTP means we only have two options the Democrats it is, but you better believe we’ll still keep calling them on their bullshit.

I voted for him in 2020. (Which I regret.) At the time I naively thought that a vote for Biden, even though I knew he wouldn’t preside over any fundamental change, was an important cultural victory over emerging fascism. History has shown I was wrong about that.

            I voted Stein in 2024.

But how is that relevant to the discussion exactly?

Both sides say that same stupid thing.

If Harris wanted my vote, she knew how to earn it, and it wasn’t by looking at four years of people’s impoverishment accelerating and then telling me she wouldn’t do anything different.

The trick here is Democrats rigging their primaries in three straight elections and you still pretend your vote means something.
