As a Reflexes main, how do you guys find a balance between the convenient badassery of the mantis blades and the sweet sweet style and uniqueness of the katanas? I love byakko but I rarely use it because it just seems so much more sensible to have three firearms equipped and the mantis blades on backup. I also use Tech but the projectile launcher (tho much better than it used to be) lacks the oomph I need it to have to wear around. Thoughts?
This sounds sick, are there iconic knives or do i need to just try to find an unmodded (or headhunter modded) orange tier in the wild? My knives have had really shitty white and green tier mods already on them lately
I’m using the iconic throwing knife called Headhunter. You can buy it from the melee vendor in Pacifica. But to do what I explained you need the level 3 juggler perk that resets your throwing knife cooldown when you kill an enemy with a headshot.

There’s an iconic tanto that has bleed effects and synergizes with a particular katana. You might’ve missed them because I definitely never thought to look for em but you can buy them from a certain vendor. Dunno how to spoiler tag so spoilers below (but also games been out how long).
Saburo has the tanto after he gets dead’d, and the katana is in the vehicle on the roof landing pad.

If you have the dlc, there’s a vendor in the main shopping area of dogtown. He sells iconic weapons you missed the opportunity to get. That’s actually how I found out about the katana and tanto because I had no idea where they came from and looked them up.
