To clarify, I mean what’s inside these towers circled in the picture?
Stairs on one side, an elevator on the other and a museum dedicated to the bridge. The two towers are linked by the decks and they both have glass floors. It’s a pretty cool sight to do in London.
Both sides have elevators. One side also has the bridge lift, the mechanism that raises the central bridge to let ships through.
Thanks to Spider-Man: Far from home, I knew of the glass floor decks :D
(And it was just plausible enough to be not ruled out as “the glass is just in the movie so it can shatter”)
The London Bridge (not tower) is just filled with bats. They definitely have the cooler of the two London bridges.
The tower on the left is home to the Tea Wizard who uses parts of the lower floors for the nation’s biscuit reserves. The one on the right is host to a princess that’s been waiting for rescue by a prince for a very long time now.
Oh. Thanks for this information.
I notice they don’t mention the elevator going down below the river…
… to where they keep the bodies.
And also all the super advanced weapons and generally freaky shit.

They have to keep up some mystery or you won’t need to do the tour!
So don’t mention that is where they keep the real Princess Di in a dungeon?
For a long time, I thought the crown Jewels were there. But it turns out the Tower of London and London Tower bridge are two different things!
They’re pretty much next to each other, but yeah separate.
The tower is London is straight up a castle, the tower bridge is newer and is about 5 min walk away.
Just safeguards against it falling down, falling down, falling down I think.
This isn’t the one that falls down, falls down, falls down.
Exactly. That’s because of the safeguards.
Here’s a video that shows some of the tower internals:
The bridge was designed to allow using the elevated sidewalk when the drawbridge is up. It does not go up often anymore.
Fun fact:
I went to a private school where some of the teachers were freemen of the city of London. Apparently, they could request that tower bridge be raised. None of them ever tried, but I believe it is some weird legacy law. They also had the right to drive their sheep across London Bridge, but that one has burnt down, burnt down, burnt down.
Gnomes
The actual royal family that was usurped by the current one we see
Tower Bridge has its own website which has a little information about what’s inside (though it’s mostly trying to get you to do a tour).
I only know this because there’s a mission in Watch Dogs Legion that’s inside it.
beans
Also the royal toast supply
Steak and ale pies on the left and gravy in the right.
The gravy is boiling hot to pour on invaders while others throw steak and ale mugs.
I went to a party in the top bit once. It’s just a sort of empty corridor that you can hire. Amazing views down the river.
so
- stairs
- hallways
?
Probably the odd restroom and some storage rooms?
