  • Don’t give up hope! Losing weight isn’t as hard as people believe! I’m not a PT or a doctor, but I’ve been through the weight loss wringer before, albeit for losing 40lbs, not 130lbs, and I can say firsthand that the most important part of it is just being dedicated to stick with your routine. We believe in you!

Motivational post aside, there are very simple things you can fit into your life that’ll help with the process. Many will say “hit the gym for x hours a day”, but you likely physically can’t, and THAT’S OKAY!!! Instead, I recommend downloading an app like MyFitnessPal to track your calorie intake. Knowing how much you’re eating on the regular is vital, since weightloss is very much a numbers game. Another thing you can do is try to walk as much as you can. I know that’s gonna be hard, with the weather cooling off, but it’s what humans were designed to do, and it’s good full-body exercise. Other than that, listen to what your doctors tell you. Your case is EXTREME, and they ARE trying to help you, even if they come off kinda callous and talk about research papers. They’ll be able to tell you what’s going on a lot better than the Lemmy Armchair Army ever could.

Finally, don’t be afraid to ask for help from those around you. No Gymbro worth their squats will make fun of you for trying to lose weight in an extreme case like this, and Physical Trainers/Nutritionists are around specifically to help people regulate their physical problems. There’s a lot of resources out there, if you just look for them.

    Good luck man!
