Believe me, I sympathize 🙂
You do realize saying “I use a new phone every year lol” automatically marks you as poor right?
You know why? Because real rich people don’t even know how many phones they own, how long they last or how often they change them. And real rich people don’t say “lol”'.
You’re poor too. You just think you’re richer than me 🙂
“Reactivating dormant IP” aka “Milking old franchises”, because it’s cheaper and safer than coming up with innovative stuff.
You’ll feel wealthier longer if you avoid charging your batteries to 100%:
Limiting the maximum charge gives a substantial increase to the overall life of a battery. If we measure the life of a battery not in cycles, but in the number of electrons it can deliver to your phone over its lifetime, then we’re looking at a possible increase of 400%. That is, your battery could deliver 4X the number of electrons. And yes, that means it could last up to four times as long, according to some simple testing
If a mobile device offer charge limiting, I always set it to 80%. Examples of those include my FairPhone4 running CalyxOS or my Flipper Zero running the Momentum firmware. If it’s a cellphone and it doesn’t have charge limiting, I’ll use a Chargie. Any other device, I try to be careful if possible.
If someone starts the story by saying “I had a dream last night”, I know it’s going to be a long account of something totally nonsensical that I will be utterly uninterested in, that will not teach me anything of value, amaze me or amuse be in any way.
Depending on how much I care about not antagonizing that person, I might walk away without saying a word, lash out at them to shut them the hell up immediately, or politely listen while quietly escaping to my happy place in my mind while the torture lasts.
There are few things I hate more than people wasting my time telling me their dreams.
About that murder…
I never wish any man’s death, but I can’t say I cry at every grave either.
F-Droid apps are probably safe from this shit. Unfortunately, most people need proprietary apps too. Banking and official ID apps (for those in countries where the authorities have strongly adopted the internet for identification purposes) come to mind. Or the app from the provider your company chose to report working hours or input expense reports. Or Teams (again, mandatory for many jobs).
If you can’t install those apps on your deGoogled cellphone - segregated in a work profile to prevent them from vacuuming your data of course - then you need a separate cellphone running the full Google spyware stack just for them, which is all shades of dystopian.
I have neither Google Play nor Google Play Services, as I run a deGoogled OS.
However, I fear that I might not be able to escape the Google monopoly much longer.

Also, if you have to type that, don’t use the numpad: / is only one key away from *. If you finger snags the / key on its way to * and you happen to be root, your root partition will go bye-bye.
I never thought of doing that in 40 years. It’s a great idea actually. Thanks!
Here’s a rule I learned the hard way a few decades ago:
Yeah I watched some Gutfeld. He does go through the motions but his jokes never really land. It’s kind of like having a conversation with an AI chatbot: it’s convincing to a degree but something is off and it’s nowhere near as enjoyable as talking to a real person.
Here’s an interesting video about Zuckerberg’s rebranding:

Finally a real list that doesn’t include Dave Chapelle - whom I already knew and whom find extremely unfunny.
I do enjoy Bill Maher very much. I don’t always agree with him but at least he makes good points and he’s funny. If nothing else, I respect his ability to address points regardless of which side of the political divide they traditionally fall on.
I’ve watched Joe Rogan too - not for comedic value but to listen to some of his guests - and he sucks ass. I didn’t think he was trying to be funny, because he really isn’t. Buf if he is, it’s not working at all. He’s just a terrible Youtuber the same way countless other Youtubers are, just with a bigger audience, as far as I can tell.
I don’t know any of the others you mention. So I will gladly check them out now. Thanks!
The recording seems to show that Epstein and Trump were close enough for the disgraced sex offender to know how Trump ruled his White House
It takes one to know one.
Wholesome, yes. But the magic and the poetry is immediately spoiled by the poster’s username.
Just read whatever you find anywhere and leave out the opinionated bits.
In other words, you can safely assume the hows, whens, wheres and to a certain extent the whys are accurate and not made up, and anything else - particularly whether he was right or wrong, the bits about whether his victim was right or wrong, whether the cops are lying, whether the McD employee is evil, whether Mangione should be freed or fried… is all a bunch of ultra-biased hogwash, regardless of the bias.
