  • It’s kinda weird and boring and the characters are quirky enough to be funny but also relatable in a vaguely nostalgic, innocence of mid teens kinda way. No one is good or bad and the climax is Napoleon dancing in front of the whole school so his friend wins the student council vote. And then everyone clapped.

It’s like the Big Lebowski, where the absurdity gets funnier with each watch. Definitely fun to rewatch with friends when you see the jokes coming.

  • Yes, but in a much larger way. In Texas alone, changes to the law last year have resulted in 9,000 excess births compared to before. This is a future source of tax revenue and labor. Many states are losing young people to better jobs, opportunity, and quality of life and this helps slow that loss.

Cities, states, and countries get their money from taxes. Sales, income, or property tax paid by people and companies goes directly to pay for things like firefighters, park benches, and health and safety inspections.

Politicians get their money from companies who want to change laws in their favor. Different companies support different candidates depending on their needs.

  • You’re missing the point. (And old reddit sucks too, it’s always been about RES+imagus). I mean that if we only ever had an official shitty app, reddit would never be what it became, it would still be a third rate aggregator. My opinion is that Reddit’s success was due in no small part to the quality of the unofficial apps especially for power users and mods.
