Gotta get up to get down.
Gotta get up to get down.
This is so true. By college, far more learning and work takes place independently. A professor will teach 3-4 hours per week. Definitely not enough to “explain everything”.
Some explaining, but mostly the job is teach students how to think critically, seek resources, manage time at short medium and long terms, express yourself orally and written, build endurance for boring things, and most importantly to read.
I can explain riding a bike all day. But that’s not how someone learns to ride.
You sound like the kids who don’t do their homework.
I’ve been waiting 30 years for industrial solutions but it is obvious that marketing and advertising to maintain the status quo of legacy companies is still a better roi.
This is a regulatory issue not a market failure.
Also I’m sure plastic recycling on a large scale is just around the corner. The plastic packaging on my plastic products keeps saying so. (/s)
You made a post about how great the design is based on screenshots? And didn’t think to use the site yourself?
Oops! All fascists! I’ll assume good faith here so I suggest you close the door, back away slowly, and hope no one saw you in there.
Find the right men. There are 4 billion men out there and many are able to communicate and be there for friends. It may take moving into some peripheral spaces where different experiences and points of view are appreciated.
From big bang, to medium rare, to heat death of the universe, how do you take your steak, sir?
What’s it to you what other people call it?
You have to be a little careful: by sharing it here, even as something you are against, you have made the message travel farther than a few shitty printed leaflets. Nazis like games and double-meanings and codes because they know they can’t openly support posts like this, but the goal is always to “spread the message”. You may have inadvertently played into their hands.
Yes, but in a much larger way. In Texas alone, changes to the law last year have resulted in 9,000 excess births compared to before. This is a future source of tax revenue and labor. Many states are losing young people to better jobs, opportunity, and quality of life and this helps slow that loss.
Cities, states, and countries get their money from taxes. Sales, income, or property tax paid by people and companies goes directly to pay for things like firefighters, park benches, and health and safety inspections.
Politicians get their money from companies who want to change laws in their favor. Different companies support different candidates depending on their needs.
Sure we wrecked Reddit, but for a brief moment in time we created a lot of value for our shareholders.
I especially hate that using the time limiter on google search set to 1 week or month and all the Reddit posts are from 5-7 years ago. It used to be you could convince google to find what you wanted since Reddit search sucks but even that is dying. Maybe they can put ads on the “close my account forever” page.
Good news! I told my grandma to go there and search British baking shows. You know, BBC banana creampie. She said she loves it and can’t get enough. Oh gam gam!
You’re missing the point. (And old reddit sucks too, it’s always been about RES+imagus). I mean that if we only ever had an official shitty app, reddit would never be what it became, it would still be a third rate aggregator. My opinion is that Reddit’s success was due in no small part to the quality of the unofficial apps especially for power users and mods.
As if everyone didn’t see this coming a mile away. It’s like that Austin Powers scene with the steamroller
It’s been a minute, but the universe is expanding and the speed of the expansion depends on the total gravity. When we calculate the amount of mass it would take to make that much gravity, it’s way more than what we actually see out in the universe. It’s really a cheeky way of saying our current model makes tons of good predictions so we trust that something is out there, but in reality we don’t know its nature and can’t detect or measure it directly.
I think Dark Einstein showed DE=dmC^2
It’s kinda weird and boring and the characters are quirky enough to be funny but also relatable in a vaguely nostalgic, innocence of mid teens kinda way. No one is good or bad and the climax is Napoleon dancing in front of the whole school so his friend wins the student council vote. And then everyone clapped.
It’s like the Big Lebowski, where the absurdity gets funnier with each watch. Definitely fun to rewatch with friends when you see the jokes coming.
