Funeral potatoes are the one food I miss from Utah. The ultimate comfort food.

I got a NUC on ebay for about the same price, maybe a little less. Has more I/O and an SSD.
Yep, I just got local county fiber installed because Comcast would go down twice a day, at least. On top of that, I was paying out the ass for shitty upload speed and to remove the 1.2TB data cap. The local ISPs are about $60/mo for 1 gig up and down, compared to Comcast’s $130/month for 1 “gig” down and 30 meg up.
Internet should be public like many other utilities.
If they eventually do have a search engine, it definitely can’t be trusted. GPT-4 loves to hallucinate.
Here in Western WA, we have so many better (and cheaper) options. I’m always surprised to see a line at Starbucks.
Imagine having a King in 2024
Isn’t this the same OP that claimed they wouldn’t track users and then in the next breath said they’d log IP addresses? And on top of everything the only two login options were Twitter and Facebook?
I really hope it has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, it’s the main drawback of my current Pixel.
Spoiler: it won’t be $25,000.
Yep, that sounds great to me! At least for large corporations. Obviously shouldn’t apply to contractors, but that sounds great.
I mean, I’m not a lawmaker, but ideally if execs do layoffs they should either have to also layoff a certain percentage of upper level execs dependent on the # of people laid off, and/or the company or execs should have to pay fees dependent on the # of people laid off.
We need laws around layoffs, stat. It shouldn’t be legal for execs to layoff a thousand people and still keep their own jobs. It’s their failure that caused the issue in the first place - they’ve been safe for too long.
I too have thought about the family urn. Throw in the pet ashes too!
I haven’t used Google for awhile now. It just became an ad-ridden hellhole.
I absolutely hate that. I’ve also seen many listings set as “Remote” but when you drill down into their description it’s either like the above or “you must be within 25 miles of the office for occasional visits”. LinkedIn should remove these listings and temporarily ban the businesses that do this type of bait and switch.
I’m not sure that there’d be enough voltage to cause a fire.
Lmao, which one is it, that it didn’t happen or that they’re being a Karen by calling towing companies for people illegally parked in handicap spots?
Will the game world still be empty?
Crontab to just auto reboot daily is probably better - if your PC becomes unresponsive I doubt it would be able to execute another script on top of everything. Ideally though, you’d do some log diving and figure out the cause.
