LazaroFilm@artemis.campto Apple@lemmy.world•Yes, iOS 17 is changing where the ‘end call’ button is located1·2 years agoWhich leads me to my real gripe with the slide to answer and button positions. If you swipe as a reflex but it’s button displayed you actually end the call by mistake.
I would so just tape cheap IKEA LED bars on the hood of my Prius and park next to it.

- better software (Macs don’t crash used to be the argument… back in the days.)
- repairability, sustainability and uniformity of hardware.
- open sourcing or at least opening platform. Enough with AppStore monopoly, enough with apps that take your data without you knowing. Allow people to see your code, prove us you’re not sucking up our data for money.
- Don’t Be Evil.

LazaroFilm@artemis.campto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Intentionally chose an open ecosystem for the smart relays in my house, now they crippled the app adding a $4 subscription15·2 years agoEveryone recommend HomeAssistant and it’s great. An alternative that’s easier to implement if you’re using Apple HomeKit (on HomePod or Apple TV) is HomeBridge. It’s super easy to setup and becomes a bridge to make anything compatible HomeKit.
Too much coding for me. I read 10 milli as millisecond. And i was like what?
Shitters clogged. — lightning.
Can someone ELI5 this to me?

I wish there was a 2D printing community like for 3D printing where you could build your own printer and run it off a Raspberry pi.
I like my canon with the megatank. No more cartridges. You can buy cheap 3rd party inks and refill when needed. It’s not open source but the drivers aren’t invasive. It has wifi but I didn’t set it up and just use usb.

I read they’re doing a recall on the left bend one. The right bends are okay tho.
