The word “radiation” has unfortunately been commandeered by idiots to mean “TOXIC MAGIC AIR”. Lightbulbs radiate (produce light).
In this case they’re 100% just reducing the gain on the phone’s signal strength. No harm prevented. Purely regulatory.

I’ve had the original Pixel, the Pixel 4a 5G, and the Pixel 7a.
The only reason I ditched my 4a 5G was because my cell service seemed to be degrading (which was odd, because it was 5g).
Now that I have the 7a, I can honestly say I’m disappointed in its battery life. My 4a 5G could last 36 hours on a charge, even 3 years into ownership. My 7a seems to get down to 15% consistently by the time I get to bed each day.
That’s not a shower thought you braindead, try hard, complete waste of a human… Get off of here; there’s no room for idiots here. Reported.
JK, just thought I’d channel my inner rage-commenter for old times sake. Welcome 😄
I might be missing it, but is there a side-bar to view my subscribed communities? I think on old.reddit, there was a pop-out bar on the left side of the window (but that may have been from RES).
Actually, I see it in the options 😃
Endless Scrolling + Auto Load More
Holy christ, there’s no going back now, lol. This is BEAUTIFUL.
Is it possible to add infinite scrolling?
FYI to any GM who wants the best of both worlds; fudge the DC and roll out in the open. BBEG normally has a +9 to attack? Well, now he has a +2.
Still won’t save people from any super high rolls, but at least you can (secretly) decrease the risk while keeping tensions and attentions high.
Yes, posts and comments are upvoteable even even not subscribed to their community. Subscribing only affects what content you see when you filter your feed to “subscribed”.
False equivalency. “Addict” has different meaning dependent on the volatility of what you’re addicted to. “Master Race” has one meaning.
My point though is that the implications of both phrases is the same.
“We are part of the glorious PC Master Race” = “We are part of a group of humans who understand PCs are better than any alternative”
One’s more extreme with a stained past (regardless of how subjectively cringey it may sound), the other is not.
Comparing critics of the PCMR name to people who think the word master
is racist is pretty disingenuous. It’s literally master race
, a term that was coined to identify a group of humankind which is better than the rest, a term that is inseparable from Nazi’s.
It’s not about being offended. It’s about being at odds with myself for wanting to be a part of a community because I agree with its values, while wanting to disassociate from the community because of a (seemingly) easy to change name that people don’t want to change.
I’m bad at coming up with names, but anything that evokes “is best” that isn’t “master race” would work.
Here are some probably bad examples:
Assuming this post stays up, guess I’ll start.
(Edit: first off, the question is easy to misread, and I voted the opposite of my intent. So I voted twice in my intended intent to offset it)
I voted yes because I fully recognize it’s a joke, but I also fully recognize it’s a joke in poor taste.
I watched Yahtzee religiously back in the day, laughed at this specific joke, and thought it was odd a community adopted the name.
I’d also like to point people to this community without awkward introductions.
True, although my gripe is on the principality that they could charge $10 for the replacement parts and still make a nice profit. Even when handling each brand’s controllers with the utmost care, I’ll end up spending $60-$90 in replacement parts for a joycon before I need to replace an Xbox controller, and to add insult to injury, the Xbox controller costs less than a Joycon!
Not sure if this counts as a feature, but; more expensive base hardware, less expensive peripherals. I’d legitimately pay like $400 for a top of the line handheld system as long as I could buy a second pair of controllers for less than $50.
I legitimately haven’t touched my Switch in like 3 years because of controller drift, and I just can’t bring myself to pay $80 for something that seems like it should cost $40. So my PS5 and XSX have pulled my attention away completely.
TotK nearly convinced me to jump back in, but I ultimately decided against it since it didn’t seem worth $150 to resume playing the Switch.
Windows 10 as long as possible. I think my hardware may support Windows 11, but there’s no benefit to me upgrading until I need to.
For me, it was the top google result for “Reddit Alternative”. There was a github post explaining the basics of Lemmy and essentially said if I wasn’t sure where to sign up, just head over to lemmy.world.
Now that I’m here I can safely say the interface feels like an improved old.reddit.com and am quite pleased.
The language setting appears to be it! I opened the post in chrome and selected English, and it worked!
Thanks 🙂
As far as I understand;
A user is specific to one instance. In order to interact with the fediverse on that specific account, they need to log into that instance. If they’re banned from that instance, they cannot log in and interact with the rest of the fediverse.
There’s nothing stopping them from logging into an alt, whether on that same instance or on another instance.
