So far, CachyOS has been great for me. KDE Plasma pimped out looks great also.

I just installed cachyOS last week, and quite like it. Im experienced with Debian and rpm based OSes but haven’t used Arch before, but so far this OS has made it pretty straight forward.

Why not installed something like cachyos which has all of that figured out for you out of the box? Nvidia drivers, steam install, Proton, etc. I was up and gaming in no time post install.

I suspect this is designed to block revanced entirely. It won’t be able to install the apk it compiles or downloads, so apps won’t be able to update even if you have it installed via adb to begin with.

And all those things were “taken” because they followed apple’s lead who took all those things first. Losing sideload capability is yet another fallow the leader act they’re doing to be like apple.

As for more expensive, disagree there. That’s only the case if you go with high end sansung phones, but you can get android phones for much cheaper with still decent hardware, and it (currently) can do all the things apple does. You cant buy a cheaper apple 17 then the 2 models they give you. Also the hardware differences are so minor between Samsung and Apple, its laughable to call one “better” so your ppst really comes off like a fanboy talking about something you dont understand.

Plex has pay walled FREE servers streaming to FREE clients only.

If you have a plex watch pass (for client) you’re good and can stream from any server. If you have a plex pass (for server) any one can stream from your server. But you have to have one or the other.

They’ve come out and said specifically this is a tech demo in the world of the Witcher 4 but its not actually witcher 4 the game. As in, they’re showing off the new tech, like foliage nanite.

Same with me, 12 years, about $70, and it still works just as well as ever. I turn off any new features I don’t want, my friends and family can still stream from me for free since I have plex pass already, and it’s easy to share without having to pass around my IP address.

Probably because it works well, and has working clients on everything at this point. For some, a one-time fee was worth it when it was cheaper.

Sharing is also easier, as your friends just sign up to a plex account and you share your library with them. No need to send them an ip address and port, or fqdn that you have to maintain if your isp changes your ip address. It has its benefits, tbh, and the core sharing features still work for streaming. All the extra crap you can just turn off.

That why I think its still popular.

I’m playing it right now, and ots actually a lot of fun. Exploration feels fun still like doom 2016 and Eternal, and you have different murder mechanics to choose from in the midst of a hundred enemies. I’d say the reviews are right.

Now, that being said, I think i still like 2016 better, but they both have a very different feel from each other.
