Mass has no direct relationship to calories. A gallon of water has 0 calories. A pound of salt has 0. Some things we eat provide necessary elements of nutrition but no energy/calories. Some things provide calories but have 0 nutritional value, like sugar. Most foods provide a mix of nutritional value and calories.

To be fair when it’s a product a person didn’t ask for and the OS forced it on them, it’s not unreasonable that they may not understand how it works and make mistakes.

It certainly depends. I’m not sure what qualifies as “most people” now. Plenty of people have higher interest rates on their homes from recent purchases than those who’ve purchased homes 4 or 5 years ago, and if you live in a state with higher income tax you’ll have more to deduct. Also self-employed contractors and non-incorporated small business owners are likely going to itemize. My wife and I itemize but we’re fortunate enough to be in a place where we support a lot of charities so itemization is worth it.

“Required” isn’t the right word but they do record who donates to them because people usually want them to. People donating to non-profits will receive statements from those non-profits at year end so they can deduct the donations from their taxes when filing their return.

People can donate anonymously but if they do so, they give up their right to claim the tax deduction so most do not.

Also gotta be careful with many of the “keto” products. Using a continuous glucose monitor to test foods, there are definitely many supposed keto products that nonetheless spike blood sugar and breads seem to be the worse category. Definitely worth researching or you might be paying triple the price and still not benefiting from it.

What’s really awful is when you see how little the payment lowers between a 30yr and 50yr mortgage with current rates. It’s not nearly as big a difference as you’d think.

Not sure your workout regimine but I’ve found compound lifts make for shorter workouts and provide the most benefit as we age, particularly squats, deadlifts and rows.

So many people think their back hurts because they’re old when really their back hurts because it’s weak. I started lifting at 47… that was 8+ years ago. I feel so much better and ache so much less in my 50s than I did in my 40s, and surprisingly you can really add muscle and strength even when you’re older, if you want to push yourself. I never anticipated such gains were possible but working hard combined with eating and sleeping well still pays off.

This particular model I have in my house. Only ones I’ve ever had that take 2 AA instead of 1 9V battery. And when you open it + and - indicators aren’t easily determined so take note before you remove the old batteries or you’ll be struggling, which is no fun at 3am when you’re barely awake, standing on a short stool and your eyes are full of gunk.
