I’m too busy enjoying the catharsis of watching them cry about suffering the consequences. It’s crab mentality for sure, but they deserve this suffering.

2·10 days agoThe Executive can’t take over the monetary decisions of the country, even if the monetary decision is to replace the currency with one the executive just happens to control and put out as private party. Congress is the one with the power to tax, spend, and create money per Article 1.

4·10 days agoYou’ll need a marketable skill . . . if you stay, too.
Fair, but some skills are inherent to your placement within the home country, and transferring that skill to another country would actually add to the expense. A great example of this would be an American lawyer relocating to France. They go through law school and learn the American/English common-law system, then they relocate to France, which bases all its laws in a statutory context. So, not only would they handicapped by this new legal mantra, they’d have to then go to school again and pay to pass the bar again. So, there’s another cost.

21·11 days agoMore than just a plane ticket. You need a marketable skill that is easily transferred, rent, food, utilities, new transportation, new licensing, and coverage for enough months until you can get the job. Also, the immigration fees. Basically, immigration is for the rich who can use money as a cushion or for the impoverished who have nothing to lose by assuming the risk.

9·12 days agoHow does being wealthy cause low birth rates?
Pretty simple actually. When you are impoverished, you need a lot of kids for two main reasons: 1) when you’re too poor to develop a health-care system, you have alot of kids so that your society still functions after a few kids die off due to a lack of affordable and accessible health care; and 2) you need a high population to do all the labor needed for you and your tribe to survive.

1·14 days agoI mean you’re right: Regan, himself was not a Boomer, but he certainly would have worked with them. Regan was born in '11, so he’d have been silent generation. But, my point still holds a bit in that Boomers started to come about in '46. So, by 1980, they’d have been 34. That means, they’d have been old enough to sit in Congress, and would have been eligible to run for offices as early as '73. So, they’ve been spoiling things for a few days short of 53 years.

28·14 days agoHow long are we going to tolerate Boomers existing and sacrificing the lives of children? Every war that has been initiated since Millennials started being born were started by Boomers: 1) Gulf 1 (Regan and Boomers); 2) War in Afghanistan, Iraq 1 and 2, Syria. Now, Venezuela and Nigeria?
On top of all that, climate change.
