A streamer I follow I think said they were worth 5x for him

USSMojave@startrek.websiteto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is there a portable swamp cooler with a window hose like air conditioners have?English3·4 months agoJust park your swamp cooler in front of an open window or patio door. Increase air flow throughout the house with fans. Open upstairs windows to create a cross breeze to move out hot air that naturally convects, and crack downstairs windows to help vent out the increased moisture. It sounds counterintuitive, but you are not supposed to seal your house up like with AC. You want outside air coming in to vent out the humidity

The way they talk to each other and the overall vibe is VERY Next Gen, and it’s interesting how they’re 100ish years in the future while TOS is 200 years in the future, so their technology and even uniforms look almost exactly halfway between our tech and stuff and what we see in “traditional” Trek. The theme song though is definitely whack

USSMojave@startrek.websiteto Nintendo@lemmy.world•Nintendo adds Echoes of Wisdom to the official Zelda timelineEnglish11·8 months agoI’m still upset with the official timeline because of how they put Link’s Awakening as happening before Oracle of Ages/Seasons, when it CLEARLY happens AFTER the Oracle games! Link’s Awakening opens with him on a boat in a storm in the middle of the ocean, and if you do the special linked ending of the Oracle games the story ends with Link getting on a boat in the ocean sailing towards a storm. Get it together Nintendo!

I don’t know how much longer people are going to go before understanding that the judicial branch has fallen. Reverse the parties of this situation and the supreme court would stamp it out in a heartbeat. They will just let Trump do whatever he wants
