  • I am setting up the server on Raspberry Pi 4 with RaspiOS. I want to download torrents and I have connected an external hdd USB3 for it… I was told that you could change the Docker directory to the external hdd to mount the containers on it. That way the microsd would work less and in case of failure, it would only be to install RaspiOS again and change the directories… All the configuration, docker containers, etc are in the hdd… So far I have not succeeded, although I have listened to 2 or 3 tutorials.

You can also mount everything on the Raspberry, leaving the microSD only for booting, but it is more complicated…

    Excuse my DeepL english

Linux Mint as been in development for over 15 years. Its good for them to get some press coverage and positive attention.

As far as I can tell most people switching to Linux Mint are fairly happy with the experience beside some minor Linux quarks.

Linux Mint is great, but is outdated. In my opinion the Mint team should definitely separate itself from Ubuntu and stop making duplicate applications… They spend too much time and resources to separate servers to avoid Snap. LMDE is a good distro. With a little more attention it can become something bigger.

  • Unfortunately, reddit has been too long and entrenched in society to “remove” it from our browsers. It is very different from Twitter or another social network. Lemmy is a great project. I hope it works and establishes itself as a real alternative, but it still has a long way to go. Unfortunately, the Reddit/Lemmy format is resource intensive, and that’s the problem with a service like this.

It’s my simple opinion. I support any fediverso project, but reddit, today I think it is irreplaceable.
