Not a book but the British movie Beautiful People has the war in the background.

I miss my N900. ☹️
My gut feeling says that you should rather get a vibrating plug that is made to go in the ass.
I hope not. In my times instant messengers were instant.
Tourism and business travels would probably take a hit.
Only the best for the worst hack in history.
A great mystery. Guess we should Putin some thought to that.
My mom used to have a microwave cookbook and would make most veggies in the microwave oven. This cemented my love for crunchy cooked vegetables. I can’t eat green beans in a restaurant because most of the time they are almost the consistency of porridge.
Yeah, it’s pretty normal for Nintendo to make a slight improvement every two consoles. Also see the Wii and Wii U.
Funnily enough there are two types of scam. One is just simply designed to get you to pay them. But the other is for money laundering where you actually do get to keep a part of the offered money. Until the police come knocking at your door, of course.
I thought Path of Exile was done by ex Diablo 2 devs.
Meh, I don’t think it’s such a big deal to mumble something and slightly point to the seat you want to take. Never saw them not take the coat/bag/whatever off.
Reminds me of the time I created the Triple Whopper for all of Germany. The Burger King in the Cologne Main Station had a “Your Way” section where you could make them assemble a Whopper exactly how you want it Subway style.
One day I encountered an especially enthusiastic cook and asked her for three patties instead of the maximum of two they had on the menu. She obliged me and also put on a ton of salad and onions and lots of love. I’ve never had a better Whopper in my life.
Anyways, she didn’t know what to charge me so she just pulled a number out of her arse and let me pay that. A few months later the Triple Whopper appeared on the menu at a much higher price point than what I paid. I like to think that it’s my fault.
On the ape it looks cool, though.
Yeah, Tubgirl would have been better!
Warwick Davis. Every time I saw him at cons he was super nice.
One time he was holding a panel down in front of the stage because on the stage the acoustics sucked. So while he was answering some question or so one of the handlers brought him a glas of water and put it on the edge of the stage. Shortly thereafter Warwick went to get the water but the stage was just about tall enough that he couldn’t reach, even with jumping. He took it with humor, the handler was more embarrassed about it.
Honestly, it just works or not works as much as other operating systems. I’ve just come to like its way of working or not working more than others. I get it. When something doesn’t work the symptoms usually let me know where to look for a fix.
By now this comes down to experience and the ability to read and understand error messages.
When I watch people online in videos messing up with Linux it usually seems to be due to them not reading correctly and ignoring vital information, skipping stuff or trying to alter some process in a misguided way. See Linus Sebastian entering “yes, do as I say” without realising that the system is trying to keep him from making a fatal mistake.
Pft, typical Lemming. Either you accuse the mods of doing too much or too little!
