What methodology is used to calculate Statcounter Global Stats? Statcounter is a web analytics service. Our tracking code is installed on more than 1.5 million sites globally. These sites cover various activities and geographic locations. Every month, we record billions of page views to these sites. For each page view, we analyse the browser/operating system/screen resolution used and we establish if the page view is from a mobile device.
So it’s the percentage if web traffic (to sites that use this analytics service)

Orion works for me when I disable all build-in content blocking and using the Firefox version of Ublock Origin.
I think the build-in blocker is too basic and gets detected by YouTube, while ublock works (everywhere I’ve tested it, desktop, android, iPad)

Then close the studio, as you’ve acquired all its data and it serves no further purpose to them. Probably hoping to release full AAA-AI slop in the future. Don’t think it’ll work and they’ll waste enormous amounts of energy and resources before the AI bubble bursts and everyone realizes that current ‘AI’ (LLMs) will never become AGI.

dangrousperson@feddit.orgto Nintendo@lemmy.world•Having spent time testing the Switch 2 mouse controls I no longer think it's a gimmick, but it just cannot compare to a gaming mouse | PC GamerEnglish6·2 months agoIt works. I tested it with a Logitech G305 dongle. For some stupid reason it doesn’t work in the home menu, only the joy con does. But in games that support mouse control it works. I tried it in Hogwarts Legacy

So far, all 1st party Nintendo titles are announced to include the game on the cartridge (not just a key)

dangrousperson@feddit.orgto Games@lemmy.world•Grand Theft Auto 4 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S reportedly in development, could release this yearEnglish2·3 months agoWell there is d9vk and dxvk which translates directX 9, 10 and 11 to Vulkan and vkd3d which translates direct3D (directX 12) to Vulkan. So it’s all Vulkan on the Linux side, Proton ‘just’ uses one of these to translate the game into Vulkan or passes it through if the game is already Vulkan.
I don’t think there is a native (to GTA IV) Vulkan renderer in game though and therefore there isn’t anything more you can or have to do on Linux.
On Windows, some older games actually get performance improvements from the translation to Vulkan.
The Deck is great to mod.
I really wanted one of those transparent Atomic Purple shells for mine. Then thought, might as well swap the sticks since it’s already opened up.
Well the transfer into the new shell requires complete disassembly, which was quite bit more involved then I anticipated. The screen is glued to the top half of the shell. Getting a bit impatient, I shattered my screen as I was trying to pry it off. You need to heat the adhesive and remove the screen before it cools. I had done a couple of phone screen repairs in the past, and let me tell you, they use a lot less adhesive and because they are so small, you’ll easily be able to pop it off before the adhesive starts becoming super sticky again. Not so much with the Steam Deck.
Well, the Deck HD (1200p) screen was only like 10€ more than an OEM replacement, so I might as well. (I quite like it, much sharper and more vibrant than the original and FSR can still give you good results in games that can’t hit the resolution, but the battery life did take a small hit).
Long story short, I love my Atomic Purple Steam Deck HD with Hall Effect Sticks, where one cosmetic mod led me to do two hardware upgrades. I don’t regret it, but I doubt I would do it again. I just love how much you can do it.
With those you don’t need to solder, they come with the caps themselves.
When I did my swap (OG Deck), I couldn’t find any Gulikits that came with the caps and I bought
https://www.gulikit.com/productinfo/854122.html
Which don’t come with any caps and required soldering. Nice that there are now options that don’t require it.
While technically true, you will lose the capacitive touch functionality of the sticks (the steam deck knows when your thumbs are touching the sticks) unless you desolder the old thumb caps and resolder them on the new sticks.Edit: You’re right. It appears newer Hall Effect Sticks for the Steam Deck come with the capacitive caps pre soldered, while the OG Gulikit Sensors required desoldering the original caps and resoldering them on the replacement board. That being said, it was super easy to do, even for my butterfingers that last touched a soldering iron in highschool more than 15 years ago.

Tried a couple of Lemmy apps since then (and I have been mostly lurking) and landed on Connect for Lemmy and I’m very happy to have left the corporate hell-hole of social media

Translation: Even if your bowels are ripping, never go break shitting.
I tried to keep the rhyme, even if the English translation isn’t grammaticaly correct.
I’ve been running sid (unstable) on my htpc for almost a year now without any problems (wanted Debian, because that’s what I know, but also wanted HDR support, which came with plasma 6, wichich was only in sid). Just as stable as Bookworm so far (anecdotally).
I’ve actually been thinking of moving my main desktop from mint Debian edition over to sid as well.
Sid is even one step more unstable then testing, so testing should be no problem either
