Lada doesn’t really exist anymore. Before 2022 it was just assembling cheap Renault cars with Lada branding (and actually owned by Renault). Now it’s nationalised and assembles some obscure Chinese cars (or plans to. Not sure if they managed to set it up yet).
Does it really matter? It’s the usual corporate intrigues/power struggle/backstabbing/whatever. Just for some reason leaked into public view instead of being behind the scenes like it’s normally done, probably because someone is stupid.

It’s still not enough time for KDE devs to fix all major issues with Wayland. It requires at least another two years in the oven.
I wonder if they consulted Plasma devs about it. Sure they said that they aim to make Wayland ready for Plasma 6, but it didn’t sound like it was an actual plan for 6.0. After all they got their hands full with Qt 6 porting, and there are still major roadblocks with completing Wayland support, while 6.0 is about to have its alpha release already.
Knowing Fedora devs however, I suspect they didn’t. They switched to Plasma Wayland by default several Fedora releases ago, when it was in no way ready. I guess I will switch to a different distro when this time comes.

It’s just projection of the hate for techbros (especially celebrities like Musk). Everything that techbros love (crypto, ai, space, etc) is hated automatically.
I.e. they don’t really hate AI. You can’t hate something if you have zero understanding what that something is. It’s just an expression of hate for someone who promotes that something.
It’s also the home of people being drafted (even more so than for political elite of the country). If some of them want to get the fuck out (yes, from their home) then those thay have elected shouldn’t have the right to force them to stay and die.
Most people won’t even notice this exists because they use Chrome without extensions (and you can’t even install extension in Android’s Chrome).
Not only standard itself, but also low quality implementations both in hardware and software. And while major OSes’ BT stacks continue to gradually improve over time they won’t help you if you Bluetooth hardware or device you are trying to connect to (again both hardware and software) are trash. It’s a curse of every open standard, no matter how good or bad it is by itself - there always will be shitty implementations. And if there are a lot of them (like in case of BT) then majority of them will be shitty.

Sounds like they didn’t test what happens with their apps when token is reset on server 🤔 should be reported to the apps devs. Thankfully with lemmy this is easier to fix than with proprietary services because you can self-host it and check various edge cases.

Only if you use 15 years old distribution. Linux actually drops support of older hardware faster than Windows, it just doesn’t happen consistently. Old drivers are maintained by volunteers so if someone wants to spend their free time on a driver for 25 years old hardware then it will work. But the moment that single developer disappears or stops caring then this driver is booted from the kernel fast. Supporting old hardware isn’t the goal of Linux unless someone make it their goal (and core developers don’t care either way as long as it’s not their job).
Not just license. You also need to link to it as a shared library and allow users to replace it with their own build of the library. Meaning you can’t use stuff like DRM and anticheats.
