A handful of bike activists got a recreational lane that sees almost zero use, while every day thousands of people trying to get to work are stuck in traffic next to an empty lane.

No that’s not how sunrise/set works in summer at far north latitudes.
Check out the solar path of somewhere north of the arctic circle in summer.
At high latitudes such as Seattle, there is no orientation that will provide shade at all times of year.
Best they can do is center it. If they set the shade south of the benches, you get no shade in summer during the morning or late afternoon when the sun rises and sets in the north.
Whats your proposed design? Make the shade 4x bigger for 4x the price?

I found a couple of half hour meetings with a career strategist to be very helpful in resume editing.
I could even see using a handful of dummy interview sessions if I was badly out of practice.
IDK why you’d still need one months later. It would just turn into therapy sessions.
