The last 5-10 crashes all included their planes and it is a mystery why their shares didn’t tank more.
filister@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Goldman Sachs wants students to stop using ChatGPT in job interviews with the bankEnglish51·19 days agoThe funny part is that nowadays there are companies that interview you with an AI interviewer and are telling you not to use AI. They are asking you to install some software and switch on your camera. While talking to an AI agent. Truly dystopian. filister@lemmy.worldto World News@lemmy.world•Violent Israeli settlers under UK sanctions join illegal West Bank outpostEnglish7·1 month agoI am wondering how come so many countries “suddenly” strengthened the tone and then I realised that they did that just because the US administration had shown publicly that they are running out of patience with them. So don’t fool yourself, all the European countries are too afraid of the US policies and would only protest when the US president is showing frustration.
That’s sad and morally bankrupt. Why protest an aid and humanitarian blockade after 11 weeks. 11 weeks there was very little condemnation and then boom!
filister@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Duolingo deletes all its TikTok videos after AI backlash—and then returns with a strange messageEnglish42·1 month agoExactly that. Everyone is obsessed with eternal growth, pushing SaaS offerings our throats and even more subscriptions. There is a real estate crisis, where putting a roof over your head becomes an even more distant dream for the majority of the working population and greedy companies are firing people and replacing them with AI and then they wonder why people are revolting. Eat the rich!
Defending human rights and condemning war crimes is now punishable.

I have a physical CD of Ubuntu 6.10, back then they were distributing those over the mail and a friend of mine ordered some and gave me. I still keep it.

Cyberpunk is going to join the very small selection of games IEnglish91·2 months agoI also played it on 2.1 and the game was absolutely amazing. The story was engaging, and the world was absolutely stunning.

Propaganda, and dehumanization of the adversaries. As you can see this is still possible even now.

Actually ESP32-S3 will be even cheaper than this one. They sell for around 5-6 $ but they are very limited in what they can do.
Raspberry Pi Zero second hand. Probably you can score something for less than 10 bucks.
filister@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•Looking for a distro that creates users on first boot after installation27·2 months agoYou can try NixOS, there you can declaratively create users even set their passwords by providing the hash of their pass in the config file. It can also set the config of all your apps and have different sets of apps installed and configured depending on certain conditions.
It doesn’t help that GPUs are stupidly expensive.
