  • I have only been talking about what voters should have done.

This election should have taught you that you can’t control voters beyond giving them a reason to vote for you. Not being the other guy is not a good enough reason.

Third parties are electable when they can do this better than the two major parties, and people stop buying into the propaganda you are spreading. They are legitimized when you vote for them. They are a threat to the major parties that can only be realized if you vote for them.

Except, not you, because you’re not an American voter, so why are you here again?

  • they’d find some clever way of putting it all in some kind of “company trust” or something, so they don’t have it as an individual.

That’s fine, as long as there’s legal stipulations as to how that money can be spent, similar to campaign finance laws. That kind of money should go back into the company to the benefit of both the workers (via continued employment and fair compensation) and the consumers that support the company (via the quality of the company’s product). It should not go to any individual executive to pocket and walk away with.

  • No joke, I once sat down at a restaurant with an Austrian exchange student who; when a somewhat-larger-than-usual ramekin of ranch was placed in front of him, before the rest of his meal came out; proceeded to unwrap a straw, stick it in the ranch, and take a drink.

All I could do is watch as this unfolded before me.

Kamala had every chance to appeal to those voters, define herself as a candidate, and provide answers for our economy, which at the end of the day is the one thing that really matters to voters. Instead, she pretended everything was fine, adopted narratives from the right and allowed them to posture like they have all the solutions, so she could look like an incompetent and feckless alternative to Republicans for people that were never going to vote for a Democrat anyways.

As a result, she very predictably failed to mobilize her own base. That is not the fault of the american public, and all of you scratched liberal vote shaming “democracy protectors” were never going outflank such an abysmal national campaign.

The Democrats are okay with bleeding voters and losing elections to fascists if the alternative is to challenge the power of capital, and the time has come to reckon with the fact that they are nothing but another obstacle in the fight for the people of this country.

  • Israel Keyes admitted to at least one of these but probably did tens if not hundreds. Had caches across the country of supplies and weapons. He was only eventually caught cause he got sloppy and I think had a body or something on his property at some point. Didn’t admit a lot to the police cause he didn’t want media attention and for his daughter to find out, a lot of information is gleaned from missing persons that coincided with where he happened to be at the time (phone pings, plane tickets, etc), and he traveled a lot.

There’s a long-running podcast detailing what is known about him, called True Crime Bullshit.

  • It’s not “doing nothing” it’s demonstrating that their “viable” candidate is not an acceptable candidate. You’re demonstrating that the people reject them and that we have the power to prevent their victory, putting pressure on them to earn the votes of the people, necessitating changes to be made and concessions given if they wish to stay in power.

Unless they can convince all of you folks to abandon your blocs and “vote blue no matter who”. Then they have free license to do whatever they want, and to let the other side continue being the bogey man that gets you to the polls, because without you your bloc is too weak to affect their victory.

It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy; by saying you are too weak to effect change and arguing as much instead of demonstrating in solidarity with other objectors that genocide is a policy that will guarantee defeat for the Democrats now and in the foreseeable future, because the other side is unacceptable (which implies that your side to you, even if genocidal, is acceptable, because of the comforts you believe they are promising over the other side), then you yourself are participating in the thing that is making you too weak to effect change and in the process throwing those people who are subject to the genocide under the bus in service of your own comfort.
