A succulent Chinese meal

I noticed that Walmart has started using the cheap shitty ones again. Haven’t looked to see if they claim to be reusable but they’re hardly durable enough for the first go.
My guess would be that you could control things like playlist, shuffle, etc. Like a smartwatch interface but only for music.
I think the purpose of it would be to control the device the headphones are connected to, rather than be the source of the media
Yeah, I was gonna make the joke, but got lazy.
It works under every definition of it, really.
Fun fact: the word “factoid” means a false bit of information that is being passed as fact. It doesn’t mean “a small interesting tidbit of information”.
Though I suppose the official definition will be changed since the proper one is seemingly dead
Quick edit: looks like it may have already been altered.
Because when you’re the one who “came up” with it, it’s usually a pretty sweet ride, provided you can weather the revolutions and stuff.
If it makes you feel any better, I made the “without the hard R” joke to myself when I initially saw the sub name, haha
‘appers’ being ‘rappers’ without the hard r
Pretty sure it’s because it’s a subreddit, so it’s written as r/appers.
Garbage content regardless, though.
papalonian@lemmy.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•The box that Doom comes in will play DoomEnglish3·15 days agoI don’t know of any videos, but the concept seems to have gotten pretty popular in the last year or two. I’m in the 3D printing community, and there’s pretty frequently a “magic floating <whatever>” in the “popular” section.
I assume the most difficult part would be determining what size magnets to use to achieve the desired float height. The rest should (in theory) be relatively simple; the magnets’ natural characteristics do all the hard work.
papalonian@lemmy.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•The box that Doom comes in will play DoomEnglish6·15 days agoIt is done entirely with magnets.
There’s a few ways it can be arranged, but typically, there will be a large, powerful magnet in the base, a small magnet at the bottom of the floating object that is attracted to the big magnet (to keep the object upright), and a series of other magnets around the object that are repelled by the big magnet (to make it float).
I’ve seen some that use a secondary “key” magnet on the base and object that is the opposite polarity of the base magnet, that forces the object to sit in a specific orientation. Otherwise, the object can just kind of freely spin/float, so long as the bottom magnet stays pointing down.
Oh, easy, that’s:

Wait, it’s all a crisis?
Always has been.

I’ve never heard this term before. It makes perfect sense for what it represents. Sorry it sounds like you speak from experience 😅

I really wish I could have. I never buy clothes that I haven’t already tried on, but I needed something specific for work, and as you’ve already guessed, the line of pants I settled on aren’t listed at any of their local-to-me retailers.
Though, full transparency, I took it a step further to make things worse by ordering the correct size through Amazon, since they’ll come in tomorrow rather than a week from now…

I was on my break at work and didn’t want to spend the whole time on the phone. I probably could’ve got a manager to cancel it or something. Probably still can. Oh well.
But who was phone?
