It’s also quite silly. You already have a VPN, just pirate the thing instead of paying anything.

Well, they have a point.
Just turn them off then?
Rule 2 needs to be reversed. Paywalled arcticles should only be allowed if the full text or an alternative link is provided.

Same shit, different platform.
A perfect example for why having an adblocker is a necessity these days.
You’re technicall still using the company’s resources (it costs some energy to run the empty train), so I still don’t think it really compares to piracy.
But since they are miniscule compared to what they are wasting by running largley empty trains I think it’s morally ok in that case.
Get a physical copy that doesn’t require internet activation then, assholes.
Just a little bit closer, you’re almost getting the point!
In that case you’re actually using a limited resource: space on a train. And by occupying it you’re preventing someone else from using it (assuming a full train). Copying media doesn’t cost any resources (ignoring the tiny amounts of electricity) or interfere with anyone else’s ability to use that resource.
They don’t compare.
I can’t wait for Microsoft to take over.
You guys SAVE money by pirating? I’m pretty sure I could subscribe to all existing streaming services for a like a decade for the amout I spend on my NAS and harddrives.
But that isn’t just a little vandalism, that carries some serious criminal charges.

I mean, you basically answer it yourself already.
Being ruled by a dictatorship and massive corruption aren’t contradictions, it’s expected.
Because idiots are paying for it regardless.

I don’t think watching a couple of five second skippable ads every now and again counts as bootlicking
Agree. However suggesting to others that this is ok, definitly is.
I don’t see how any of superman’s powers would improve his ability to cook spicy food, so no.
