it’s not as though companies in the US are “respecting copyrights” with AI, so idk why you think that’s unique to China.

i think you fundamentally misunderstand the motivations involved that would lead to the CEO owning the office real estate. commercial real estate is a means for them to siphon profits from the business, not a genuine attempt to provide a valuable service to anyone.
They taught you about pointers in high school? The only course available to me that even touched on programming just covered how to use C to do conditionals, read keyboard input, and print text to a terminal. The bulk of the course was learning MS Office.
i didn’t say healthcare resources. money is a resource and you must give it to your betters if you want access to affordable healthcare. they are hoarding one resource by denying access to another.
Are you rich? Then yes. If you’re not rich, then you need to suffer and struggle for needing to use valuable resources that could be used on people more deserving; like the wealthy.
if this dude gets found he won’t make it to trial.
that’s not just non profits. ever wonder how so many nominally “unprofitable” companies seem to stick around forever?
Great, sounds like they didn’t need that donation money since the C-suite will get them all the rich kickbacks they need. So what’s the problem?
leeches also have a useful medical purpose, which is a pretty major distinction.
doesn’t seem to have stopped them from locking functionality that does not require an internet conneciton behind an internet connection, so i don’t see why they would care.
i haven’t used an IDE in years but when I did I switched to notepads because every IDE i used was bloated and slow. is this not still the case? frankly VS Code is rapidly approaching the point where it’s just as bloated and slow as I remember those IDEs being so i’m not exactly trying to come to its defense here.
which is great until you realize that if it cant connect to a server somewhere to download the latest Ad manifest it crashes the OvenOS and now your warranty is void AND you can’t bake a cake.
The existence of The Hague Invasion Act kinda just lays bare that there’s not even a pretense of justice to be found there. If all those Nazis getting quietly shuffled off into western government positions hadn’t already done that for you.
So people on the internet can get mad that you didn’t vote how they wanted instead of getting mad at you for not voting.
Well they also love bullying the homeless; gets the cops something to do that isn’t murdering people over petty crimes and racism. Doesn’t get the public as riled up either, since most are already well practiced in ignoring the unhoused.
If they want people to keep shopping there and providing the income necessary to maintain that charitable work, they should probably try to maintain the perception that they price things cheaply enough to make it worth digging through racks of second hand goods.
That definitely is the line we hear from CEOs when they raise prices, cut labor costs, and over monetize. Do you have any proof that production costs for games have gone up more than any other industry has? They pretty famously don’t pay game developers very well compared to other programming positions so I don’t know where this inordinate cost inflation would be coming from.
People will still fall for it by treating it like a demonstration of what Elon wants to make, and just an early prototype. The abilities these “robots” displayed are on par with technology that has been available for over 20 years. They don’t realize the parts missing, filled in by human intervention, are the most difficult parts to create and literally cannot be done without a major, generational breakthrough in AI.
Yeah, it was a guy they had come out on stage and do a dance in a morph suit and a helmet.
There are piles of dead martyrs, entire families with their own personal martyrs. Throwing another one on the pile is nothing to them, they’ve weathered it before. Him getting to make his case at trial and the chance he could successfully acquit himself creates far more unfamiliar and frightening possibilities. I am almost certain a trial is the worst possible outcome for those who feel threatened by Luigi’s actions.
