  • That is honestly a pretty incredible outcome. Cannabinoids only help me control my anxiety, they’ve never gotten rid of it like that. I know what you mean though, I have been hypomanic and feel strongly that I wouldn’t have taken the plunge with my first business without that.

It doesn’t change that it was mental illness though, and I’m better off not being that way. I think you’re probably better off without your anxiety. You talk about pursuing success; a lot of people - mostly in their 30s and up I’ll admit - would class “being able to sit with a beverage and enjoy life regardless of income” as the definition of success.

On the other hand, is your anxiety really gone? Or is it still there, as part of why you procrastinate? If your panic coping mechanism is gone and can’t compensate for procrastination anymore, maybe it’s time to try and figure out why you procrastinate instead of just doing the thing and then getting back to your beverage and chair?

  • Lol well I took exception to slop but this is all human shit :p while ai allowed me to generate it in like 3 minutes the idea was mine (and apparently a few other people’s as well, I saw some others on the New feed), and I don’t need ai to help me think of shitpost ideas - just to bring them to life in full technicolour glory, and with less effort than mouse-drawing in MSPaint.

Also, I do think it adds a certain dimension of shittiness to do it so carelessly, but that might be too abstract for a shitpost

  • If it was a random death you might have a point. I would still say it makes sense that people would celebrate the death of a villain, but that’s beside the point.

This was an assassination, a message on its own even if there weren’t literal words carved into the casings. This may well give a person about to make an inhumane decision on behalf of a company’s bottom line pause. It’s a reminder that those decisions have real consequences, even if not always legal ones.

  • I know you’re looking for more immediate and stable income, but: Are you able to make anything? If you want to try your hand at a business, I’d be glad to help you with the tech stack side of things pro bono. I can get you set up with domain, email, website, and a marketing suite at least; I’ve also started four companies of my own so I can help you with the paperwork and structure stuff for that if you wanted.

I do this sort of thing entirely via email and video call for SMEs at my day job. It wouldn’t be steady at first and you might have to stop when you find a job… But in the meantime, while you’re looking, it’s work you can make for yourself. And who knows? Maybe it would become enough to sustain you on its own.

Just spitballing, anyway. Offer’s there 😊 Good luck!

  • I’m not saying the technique is unknown, I’m saying companies building tools like this which are just poorly-trained half-baked LLMs under the hood probably didn’t do enough to catch it. Even if the devs know how with a “traditional” application, even if they had the budget/time/fucks to build those checks (and I do mean beyond a simple regex to match “ignore all previous instructions”), it’s entirely possible there are ways around it awaiting discovery because under the hood it’s an LLM and those are poorly-understood by most people trying to build applications with them.
