I have tried water based, silicone based, oil based, coconut oil, a few other vegetable oils.

I feel like water based provides the best lubrication but dries up faster so you need to redo it quite often. Silicone seems to last the longest but does not provide as smooth of a feeling as water based, and cannot be used with silicone toys (😢)

Oil based seems to be a good middle ground as it lasts longer than water and lubricates well enough, but I still feel like it needs relubrication somewhat often, abd of course oil and silicone stains cloths 😔

Maybe I am missing some big secret and there is a better option out there? Or maybe anal will forever be more work than vaginal sex 🥲

So just injecting a small amount of oil into my anus (there are “anal/vaginal applicators” which are basically round tip syringes) made a huge difference!

    No matter what lube you use use an applicator and squirt it inside, it will last much longer and be more effective that way

    Honestly, I’ve tried water based, hybrid, and silicone based. The best I’ve tried is x lube. It’s from Germany I believe which makes shipping kind of expensive. It comes as a powder so you have to mix it with water which takes a little time. But the result is the best lube I’ve used. I some times get hemorrhoids with anal play, but with plenty of x lube, it hasn’t been an issue.

    It seems like a big cost upfront, but I’ve been using the same bottle for years. I just mix I quarter teaspoon as needed, so my current bottle of powder will last me for years. The 30 or so dollars it costs is well worth it… And if you ever wanted to get crazy you could through a table spoon into a point water bottle. On 30 minutes, you’ve got enough for anything you’ve ever wanted. ;)

      Excellent value for money, I buy it on Amazon delivered to Australia.

      About AUD $53 shipped.

      Makes litres. Over a year has passed and I still haven’t replaced the first bottle I bought.

      No sugars, fillets or preservatives like Klube or Jlube.

      The one with preservatives can be a good thing if you’re not using what you mixed within a week or 2. I forget which it is.

      I make my own custom ph balanced version with mild preservative.

      500ml filtered water, warm to hot, not boiling. Potassium sorbate - 300mg Citric acid - 7mg Combine & shake in 600ml bottle (I use a washed Gatorade bottle). Add 2500 to 3500mg of X-Lube depending on preference. Shake often, rest the bottle at different angles after each shake. (On it’s top/bottom/lay on side). We put it in the ensuite bathroom and shake every time we go near it.

      Around 2800mg is a little watery, ready pretty fast (1hour or less) 3000mg can be a bit stringy, can take 3+ hours of semi regular mixing to have it ready. 3200mg+ cab be very gloopy, prepare at least 1 day in advance.

      You can add up to 100mg of Titanium dioxide to get a ‘cum lube’ looking effect. This is becoming known for potential cancer risk. The main concern in getting particles in lungs. Still however a common white food colouring in most parts of the world, but being phased out. My understanding, it’s pretty much a non issue if used with care.

    Astroglide Sensitive is hands down the best I’ve ever used. It is long lasting, water based, and has a very mild formulation.

      I’ve found that one is good for deep throating but not so much for anal. I prefer x-lube for silicone dildos anally and Pussy Willow hybrid lube for penis in ass.

    Anal is always work. Regardless if you want good lube you gota diy. I find the best is a mix. Get some x lube or water based lube and mix with coconut oil. Mix well, inject using a syringe. Coat dick with coconut oil.

    I like water based. Silicone feels good at first but I find it causes problems afterwards.

    The good thing about water based is that you can refresh it with water, so spit on it!
