I spent my early gaming years breaking games to make them run on lower than minimum settings so I could maybe get 15fps.
Now I’m a performance snob and get annoyed seeing it dip under 100 at 4k

Bluetooth speakers have some weight, and it has a string to swing it for more force. It’d probably crack a skull with a hard enough swing.
I live in Australia, 7 figures mostly won’t cut it for a life of not working either. 10m will cover it almost anywhere though
In Australia we have a split of use by and best before. Best before can effectively be ignored, just might be stale. Use by is closer to accurate where 2 days out of date milk will often be disgusting, presuming it’s been opened. Anything still sealed lasts much longer than the suggested date.
I gave up immediately, friend tried one for old school Runescape and it said a rune pickaxe was available at any charter trader. It is in fact available at 0 of them. I’ve literally never had it be accurate
The majority of people using AI use it to ask a question, and AI will reliably spit out the wrong answer. This ‘alpha’ product is pushed absolutely fucking everywhere, is currently terrible to use properly for 99% of people, and online in less techy spaces people try AI like it’s always correct.
If you can spend the time to filter out it’s constant lies, good for you, most people don’t even know it’s constantly lying.
Previously it would say 2. Gpt thinks wailord is the heaviest Pokemon, google thinks you can buy a runepickaxe on osrs at any trader store. Was it google that suggested a healthy dose of glue for pizza to keep the toppings on?
Ai is wrong more often than right.
AI will give the correct, real source and then still make shit up. Bing linked to bulbapedia to tell me wailord was the heaviest Pokemon. Bulbapedia knows it isn’t close, bingpt doesn’t know shit.
Epic force refreshes pages including the library, that’s not a good thing. Don’t use shit I don’t want you to use. You can stop it auto updating the launcher though, which is a thing steam doesn’t seem to allow. In general, I don’t want any of my launchers doing things without me telling it to.
I have Epic on my computer, tons of games, even a handful I bought. It’s better than it was at launch, by a lot, but it isn’t something you can just leave open and trust to do fuck all for the most part. GoG is good for this, I can forget it’s open for days because it doesn’t do anything until you want it to
I actually wanted Epic to succeed enough that I messaged their support about the library being force refreshed, it’s apparently intended. If all I wanted was to suck up to a monopoly, why would I put any effort in to making it usable for me?
Recently saw a comic about a ‘shit shot Sally’, characters wondering why they had to be concerned if she’s a shit shot.
Grenade launcher.
I haven’t had vlc ork reliably in a while, any video playback was glitchy and out of sync. I use photos to look at videos now, worse features but it has no issues and honestly I just want to play a video file with no effort
People noticed, there were videos about it at the time, we just stopped caring about a number. Apple did the same thing and skipped an iPhone number afaik.
It’s not really an alternative to steam because it can’t be used the same way. If epic is left open in the background online games randomly lag out due to epic, making it not a viable alternative.
Epic is nowhere near as good as steam. Steam I can open, leave open and ignore. Epic force refreshes pages like the fucking library and then my internet cracks a fit at the sudden large data draw.
Shop wise both are equal, epic now has reviews on the bottom of games so you don’t buy some 1 star trash without warning, but they are both more than just a shop.
Everything important with the exception of a single email address that probably can’t do that much damage anyway is auto logged out. My bank, being only 90% fucking stupid forces a logout after 5minutrs of inactivity on their web portal.
It’s be annoying to reset all my passwords, that’s about it.
10000 clicks a month? Man I might do that in a day or 2
Can confirm, current high end laptop has taken a beating into walls doors and floors, minor body damage with scraped plastic is the only problem. Hardware is surprisingly resilient
This is on C/nostupudquestions though so it gets a pass
You can use steam without ever seeing an ad. Due to low internet bandwidth I just turned off the couple of popups and I currently see 0 ads if I don’t specifically go to the store part. Steam boots into library, so no ads, none in downloads. I don’t use the rest unless I’m actually looking for a new game.
I’m relying on my inheritance from my mum to get a house, but that’s mostly from selling her house, I’m sure her actual savings will be quite low by the time that comes around.
