I used to be the type that would argue for nuance in such accusations. That blanket statements are foolish, and that not all of a thing can be blamed for the actions of just some of a thing-

    But yeah. If you’re a conservative/republican….

    You’re a fascist.

They’re not Republicans the way that word meant, but the ones that were won’t be coming back out of cowardice and have abdicated the name to the fascists, so now they are de facto Republicans.

Note that anything to do with southern US states makes all of the above confusing and incestuously intertwined, so we will stick to the simpler less inbred definitions.

I didn’t wake the fuck up until I was about 27, and every day of my life since I’ve focused on practicing empathy and mindfulness - the little fantasy world they live in was comforting and it was difficult to break some habits.

Anyone, even an octogenarian who is trying to grow and acknowledge their own faults of the past should deserve to be met with understanding, not malice.

I stop that lenience when they casually slip into conversation that trans people should be murdered on sight.

In what world bob? Even in your fantasy world where they are mentally ill, they should still be murdered on sight?

There was a great clip of some chud who argued himself into accepting trans people with that exact kind of reasoning.

It’s a mental illness, you can even see brain chemistry differences -> They deserve therapy -> failing that, corrective surgery or hormones-> oh

I don’t know if it stuck, but it was still hilarious. And it demonstrated the point rather handily that the rational folks are all already on team Woke.

It’s taken a while to figure out the meaning, but the reading I did basically defines “Woke” as generally being aware of the world and its problems, (Or in other words, not having your head in the sand). It’s baffling that the term has been used as an insult by anti-intellectuals.

Lol you all find yourselves special because you are not a “Republican” sad ass group right here, being a liberal doesn’t make you special or your opinion correct. Reading your comments are sad to the point of how far some of you are gone with being wrapped up in a system that doesn’t give a shit about you.

Let me guess Democrats are the side of peace and love. Oddly enough I recall them telling people to punch people in the face around the COVID years. And to fight people during the Floyd fiasco. Well good things most liberals are cowards and only know how to run their mouths while not having an actual plan on how to solve real problems.

Ohh p.s. I’m not Republican so good luck attacking from that vector.

No…. Nazis have an official definition:

          https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Nazi

          Another good description of nazism

          Here’s a good descriptive excerpt:

It rejected liberalism, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights, stressing instead the subordination of the individual to the state and the necessity of strict obedience to leaders. It emphasized the inequality of individuals and “races” and the right of the strong to rule the weak.

Politically, Nazism favoured rearmament, reunification of the German areas of Europe, expansion into non-German areas, and the purging of “undesirables,” especially the Jewish people.

Not sure what your comment is about.

Just the other day I read a comment on Facebook and it starts off with a qualifier that they’re pro EV. Then they spew all sorts of anti-EV bullshit and it’s just reeks of disinformation. If someone feels the need to qualify their opinion by saying they pro, before acting against, they’re just fucking idiots.

Not necessarily. And I don’t think you meant it like this could be read.

You can absolutely be pro something but recognize the downsides of it. You can be pro vaxxination, but be critical of how the government handles rollout, you can be pro EV but still remain convinced that the resources needed for batteries are (at the moment) produced using child labor and causing environmental destruction. Constructive critique is valid and necessary.

People don’t need to be fanboys, sitting on the fence is completely okay in regards to many topics.

What I think you meant to criticise (please correct me if I’m wrong) is that lots of invalid critique and unreasonable opposition hides behind a thin veneer of “I’m actually in favor of {x}” and yes, we’re all sick of it.

Invalid critique, yes. That’s what I meant by anti-EV bullshit. They talked about how unsafe the charging stations were so they leave the vehicle, even in very cold weather. They talk about the intense humming noise from the Level 2 charger at home which shakes the entire house. There are some valid critiques but when you start off with the bullshit ones, it’s hard to take anything else they say as anything but lies.

Anarchists are Socialists, Capitalism cannot be Anarchist because Capitalism both requires a state to exist and requires unjust hierarchy by definition.

As for the latter part of my statement, I am saying that republican fascism being bad does not mean democratic liberalism is good, both are bad, but fascism is far worse. Neither option can be considered “good” and not many people here would consider liberalism to be their primary ideology. People here are leftists, not liberal right-wingers or far-right fascists.
