Gosh. Bob Dylan is hard work even after eating and drinking. I guess folk like to prove they can handle suffering.

i feel the same way about bob dylan as i do about the rolling stones. i like some of their music, but i can only stand listening to at most 3 songs in a row. after that i need a break.

And like with the Rolling Stones, I tend to like Bob Dylan’s songs much more when it’s someone else covering them.

maybe giving him the nobel prize for literature was the committee’s way of saying he should have just been a writer

I feel that way about most musicians tho, and I’m a musician. Unless they’re one of my favorite bands, I’m not listening to the entire album in one sitting.

I did this as a teen with my learner’s permit and my dad. It was him playing the Eaglea and Bob Dylan while I learned to figure out driving on the highway in NJ through the indiana turnpike until the glorious open road out west where i was stuck behind semis and 1 lane road work across the midwest until montana.

I have remained driving on the west coast only since.
