Fragging was what it was called when enlisted men threw an armed grenade into their sleeping Officer’s tent in the Vietnam War, for being shit officers.
Huh. I’ve always heard it used in id and Unreal games. Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament. Those kinda things.
That is where those game studios got the term, yeah. Though I’m not sure if they were using fragging or gibbing first, I don’t remember.
First I thought its about fracking…
