Shopping involves payment and here they clearly say I can just take it, it’s mine. I need to go to the checkout so they can track what they give away. If it’s too heavy, someone from the store will help me carry it.
The sales associate will explain money to you.
I would leave immediately and remain offended permanently.
I would at least consider going to a cashier and saying “I love this, it is mine.” Maybe making that joke to anyone I’m with.
Realistically though, I would not follow through and not do anything.
